Meep AI Translator v1.3

TL;DR

  • Renamed to Meep AI Translator
  • Built-in language system — no Polylang/WPML needed
  • Faster translations with better HTML handling
  • Full Gutenberg & Classic Editor support

Hey again, world! We are Meep Tech, a small team based in Poland specializing in web and SaaS development.

We’ve hit a huge milestone — our WordPress plugin just reached version 1.3, and we’ve been busy.

Here’s what’s new:

A brand new name

We’ve rebranded from “AI Translator for Elementor and Polylang” to simply Meep AI Translator. Shorter, cleaner, and more reflective of what the plugin actually does now — because it’s no longer just for Elementor and Polylang.

Built-in language management

This is the big one. You no longer need Polylang or WPML to use our plugin. We built our own lightweight language system right into the plugin — complete with URL rewriting (/fr/page-slug/), hreflang SEO tags, sitemap filtering, a language switcher widget, and a full settings page to manage your languages. Install, pick your languages, translate. That’s it.

Faster, smarter translations

We’ve optimized our translation algorithm significantly. Better HTML structure handling, no more tag corruption, improved accuracy for rare languages (yes, even Frisian and Corsican), and language-specific instructions sent to the AI for more natural results.

More editor support

Beyond Elementor, we now fully support Gutenberg and Classic Editor pages and posts. One plugin, every editor.

We started this project because copy-pasting translations was the most painful part of our development workflow. Now we’re making sure nobody else has to go through that either.
